A similar themes tends to constantly emerge through my creative projects, capturing pained emotions of self-resignation, loneliness, and performing beauty in tandem with pain. Through this photo essay turned editorial spread, these emotions were what I wanted to communicate in a more stylized fashion.
-
Beginning the construction phases by researching existing content and modeling poses and expressions of solitude and loneliness, ideating on how to direct my model to perform these feelings. Styling her to match the tones of the streets she was being photographed against. I utilized gathered reserved signs as props to further communicate the posed expressions and thematic concept.
-
Moving away from ideation, I brought all of my digitally photographed images into LightRoom for editing purposes, then bringing the curated twelve images into InDesign to overlay garment information and pricing, as well as differentiating between looks and cover creation.
